The Study
The City of Vaughan is undertaking a comprehensive study of its urban water infrastructure, including water, wastewater and stormwater systems, to support growth while emphasizing environmental sustainability and resiliency. The study will document existing problems and opportunities, consider and evaluate solutions and identified preferred water, wastewater and stormwater servicing strategies.
The Process
The Integrated Urban Water Plan Environmental Assessment is being conducted in accordance with the Master Planning process (Approach #2) outlined in the Municipal Engineers Association Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) guidelines which involves the preparation of a Master Plan document at the conclusion of Phase One and Phase Two of the Class EA process.
